Many Americans, at some point in their lives, will lack adequate medical coverage leaving basic outpatient procedures beyond reach. With the goal to help fulfill those pressing medical needs, Dr. Lionel Meadows and his wife, Kathryn Meadows, RN, BSN, founded the Surgical Hope Foundation in 2010.
The Surgical Hope Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides outpatient surgical services at no charge to those in need. Foundation funds and services are available to individuals who cannot afford medical insurance and are not eligible for federal or state programs.
Physicians and nurse practitioners must refer eligible patients.
Eligibility
- Patients must fall between 100-200% of the federal poverty level.
- Patients cannot be covered by any form of medical insurance, including Medicaid or Medicare.
- Patients must have a primary care physician.
