MICRONEEDLING WITH PRP FOR HAIR LOSS
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a procedure that encourages the production of collagen through tiny needle punctures in the top layers of the skin. This amazing skin rejuvenation procedure is minimally-invasive and has been shown to improve hair growth. During the procedure, growth factors are isolated from the patient’s blood, the scalp is treated with microneedling, and the growth factors are painted onto the micro-punctures to soak into the tissue. The platelet-rich plasma (PRP) effectively stimulates a new blood supply and provides proper nutrients to deprived hair follicles. This ultimately encourages renewed hair growth.
Number of treatments needed may vary from patient to patient, but as a general rule, we typically recommend 2 initial treatments with a maintenance treatment every 6-12 months for optimal results.
